Documents required for filing of Income Tax Return
Every person
other than salaried person earning income of Rs. 400,000/- or above is required
to file his income tax return in Pakistan. Most of the individuals involved in
business activity in Pakistan are already paying income tax on electricity,
telephone, mobile phone, banking transactions, children school fee, credit card
payment, motor vehicle token tax, commission, bank profit tax, zakat, donation etc. etc. these taxes were paid but not
claiming at the time of filing their income
tax returns.

1. Salary certificate from
employer from 01st July 2021 till 30th June
2022.
2. Detail of property
income along with copy of rent agreement and tax deduction for the
period 01st July 2021 till 30th June 2022,
and details of local taxes and expenses in respect of rental income.

3. Details of
business income during the year along with supporting documents like
electricity bills, telephone bills, detail of rent paid, salaries details,
printing & stationery, conveyance charges, bank or financial charges,
repair and maintenance, other expenses etc…
4. Details of income
earned under the head of capital gain on disposal of securities, immovable
property.
5. Details of income
earned under the head of other source, like Behbood saving, pensioner benefit
account, pension income, dividend, profit on debt, Prize bond, prize and
wining, commission.

6. Copies of bank
statements of all bank accounts for the period 01st July
2021 till 30th June 2022.
7. Proof of donation
paid during the year for claim of tax credit and zakat (bank / FBR approved
institution) if any paid during the period 01st July 2021
till 30th June 2022 straightaway deducted from total
income.
8. Proof of health insurance paid
during the year for claim of tax credit.
9. Mobile tax
deduction certificate from mobile companies for the period 01st July
2021 till 30th June 2022.

10. Proof of foreign
remittance received during the year 01st July 2021 till 30th June
2022.
11. Tax deduction
certificate on Educational fee from (school, collage, university) for the
period 01st July 2021 till 30th June 2022.
12. Proof of advance
Tax on booking of new motor vehicle and advance Tax at the time registration
and token tax paid if any (already registered vehicle) during the year 01st July
2021 till 30th June 2022.
13. Proof of advance
tax at the time of purchase or sale under section 236K or 236C.
14. Tax
deducted on Domestic and International Air ticket for the period 01st July
2021 till 30th June 2022.
15. Proof of tax
deduction certificate (BSC, PBA, RIC, SSC, SA,) and statement for the
period 01st July 2021 till 30th June 2022
from national saving center.
16. Bank certificate
for tax deducted on certain banking transaction for the period 01st July
2021 till 30th June 2022 from national saving center.
17. Proof of gift /
loan received or gift / loan given during the period. Copy of cheque and gift
deed / loan agreement.
18. Proof of assets
purchase, sale or transferred during the year 01st July
2021 till 30th June 2022.
19. Detail of
Household expenses like rent, electricity, telephone, education, motor vehicle
running and maintenance, function and gathering, other expenses etc……
