National Savings Latest Profit Rates Increase August 10, 2022

Pakistan has raised the annual profit rate for savings accounts from 12.25 percent to 13.50 percent. The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS), which is in charge of overseeing Pakistan's savings schemes, has announced an increase in the schemes' profit margins.

 

The profit rate on savings accounts has been raised by 125 basis points to 13.50% from 12.25%. Similarly, the profit rate for regular income certificates has been raised by 24 basis points to 12.60% from 12.36%.

 

However, profit rates for other schemes have remained constant. The profit rates for the other schemes are as follows: Defence Saving Certificate at 12.40%; Behbood Saving Certificate at 14.16%; Special Saving Certificates at 13%; and Pensioner Benefit Account at 14.16%.
